Future Husaberg parts availability

I have been calling around to a few dealers here in the states and there seems to already be a lack of Husaberg parts available for purchase.

What dose this mean for future parts availability?

Nothing good I'm sure. Here in Canada , Ktm is stocking very little. Lots of things have to come from Europe.

We need someone with money to step in and buy the rights to all things Husaberg. Then either build new bikes or use the 70 degree motors in a range of bikes and produce spares for the future. It's worked for many other bike brands Triumph Norton and even Royal Enfield ! I would prefer them not to be made in China India or Korea but if the qualities there and I can ride my Berg for another 10yrs

Damn, I've had good experiences with parts so far, but I only got the bike in September. I'd really like to get a few good seasons out of this bike and hate to think repairs will soon be impossible.

What kinds of parts are you having trouble finding?

I just ordered and received a chain slider for my 2007 FE450 from Motosport.com, and $15, cheapest I've seen. Their site will not let me enter my model, but I found the part number on another site and searched theirs and ordered.

KTM are trying to kill sites like that. I doubt it will be long before they feel the heat from 'those above' especially as KTM watch this site (apparently?).

thanks though....!

KTM only have "pressure" influence over their dealers

sources that are twice or third removed from "above" are untouchable as far as KTM is concerned

even ones in the UK LOL

The Trevor Pope parts fiche is very good!: Husaberg fiche finder for spare parts

+1 And its a great place to get your berg repaired in the south of UK - just had my 2012 FE570 serviced there. A great job plus they sorted an intermitent stalling issue - my local husky dealer down the road had it for 10 days and couldn't find the cause. The Trevor Pope service guys recon they will continue supporting berg parts and servicing as long as they can.

all Husaberg/KTM/Husky dealers will support Husabergs as long as it appears on their screen!!!!!

these people you're on about won't touch a Husaberg prior to 2004. so their loyalty already has a 'start by' date.

I agree though theat the staff at Pope's are ace! Trevor's head parts man is Rob Oldfield a very good sidecarX'er. he blitzed last year and missed 3/4 of the season with several broken bits. apparently in his first race back last Sunday (8 days) he had another huge one.....

I hope he's well - he is though, one tough MF! ;);)
