fuel tap question...

is the screw in tap on the left side of the tank a reserve? manual says if it's screwed in no fuel will flow to the card, but it flows just fine closed, so i'm thinking it's a reserve deal...

Nope, the left one is a second primary fuel tap. The shape of the tank requires you draw fuel from both sides.

There is no reserve.

Cheers

Mark

nb: I on the other hand, just fuel up every chance I get...

Which means that you in effect get a reserve out of it if you leave one tap off and just use the other. I normally only use the RHS tap and keep the LHS as reserve. Dunno how much, but it might just be the warning that makes a difference.

Steve, I mainly use RHS tap and LHS as reserve. I once ran out of fuel while pulling into a petrol station and my 10 Lt tank took 8 Lt's to fill. Therefore its approx. 2 Lt's in the LHS side of a 10 Lt tank.

you can make a reserve . go into the doc under fuel i think or better than new. can't recall! but you need to get two tubes 100mm long and plonk them in. da-da! you have reserve.

Taffy
