Fuel Tank!

Hi

I am new here but have recently bought my 04 FE550 and just passed the first oil change (3Hours!!). My question might already be answered somewhere in the maize forums but I will definitely need a bigger tank - where do go (website) to find one?

Welcome B550,
There is an aux tank that is available that fits under the seat. It holds .75 gallons. You can check your local dealer for availability. Husaberg is rumored to be coming out with a 3.0 gallon tank in the near future. I know it was talked about in the dealer meeting in Canada.

Look up the thread from splat on oversized tanks from IMS we can use all the help we can get to reach that 100 participent mark.

Try one of these Acerbis classic auxiliary tanks. They apparantly started making them again. I just got one last week for my son's YZ85 and will probably get one for me too. Combined with the underseat tank it should yield 4.0 gallons combined.

Just bought a used Berg, 98 600FE that has a right side number plate tank on it. Don't know where it came from, but this may be an alternative. Have measured it yet, but appears to be around 1 gal.

These tanks were Husaberg original which you can fit to bikes <2000 when the new plastic arrived. Could be hard to find a new one these days.
