Fuel tank problem

I have a problem with my fuel tank. It it cracked on one of the edges and it leaks fuel when filled too high. Is there a way to fix this? Is there such a thing as a plastic weld and if so, does it work. The crack is about a few inches long. Any suggestions anyone? I don't really want to spend $ on a new tank because I am trying to sell it.

Hi Anderson,

plastic-problems can be solved very easy with a head gun;
I´d suggest to get used to how it works by training on a fender (old one) ->
then try it on the tank
Also remeber that fuel fumes and fuel can burn very easy...

By the way: where are you from

used tanks are as cheap as chips on ebay. i have a spare tank that suits an '01 -'06.

Hey Anderson,

in Australia, Ballards offroad > www.ballards.cc stock a plastic welding putty, I dont think it was more than $20.00 Aus, you could try dropping them an email or a phonecall, I dont remember the name of the product, but it came in many colours.

what bike are you riding?

Azza.
