Fuel Tank No Grab

So since I've taken the fuel pump out a thousand times now to diagnose the seal between it and the tank leaks because the screws cant dig in and grip to pull it down.

Any idea what I can do?
 
I managed to brake the threads and force the screw through the plastic on a friends tank. I solved it by making a gasket out of fuel resistant neoprene gasket material and put bolts through the holes with nuts on the outside. It was a bit fiddling around until I got the bolts through the holes from inside, and I made the holes very small on the neoprene gasket so it would be a seal around the bolts.
So far it's working fine.

I told my friend I will buy a new tank for him anytime he want to (felt like **** to ruin a friends tank).
