Is the fuel pump on a 1998 FX 600 rebuildable? If so, where can I get a rebuild kit. My local dealer tells me that I must buy a new pump.

Did your dealer quote you a price? I had to replace that Mikuni pump back in 2000 and it was amazingly cheap.

they are totally rebuildable, i suggest you find a mikuni dealer to get your job done a lot cheaper.
on the other hand buying a new one from husaberg would not be tragically expensive...

Yeah, my dealer did quote me a price for an entire new pump. I actually got two quotes, one was $80 and the other was $53. I know that it is not that much money, but I absolutely hate paying more than I have too. I found out that Sudco sells a rebuild kit for $12.99. Thanks for your help.
