Fuel Leaks from Carb Bowl Gasket

I know this sounds simple and easy. I got my suspension back from Dick's Racing on Tuesday and installed it. I put fuel in the tank and tried to start the bike. My son says " There's something leaking under there." I look and gas is flowing out the overflow tube. So I close the petcocks, drain the fuel bowl, and removed the bowl. Cleaned the needle and seat and reassembled everything. I noticed when I removed the bowl, it was very tight and would not pull straight off. When I reassembled, it went on a little crooked. So I removed it again and it took three tries to seat the bowl, but one side still wouldn't seat flush. So I tightened the bottom hex bolt and the stupid thing leaks like a sieve. I have tried tightening to the point that I thought I was going to break the bottom hex bolt. I can't get the one side to draw up liquid tight to the carb body. Anyone have a similar problem? It only leaks when the bike is laying over to its right side at more than a 45 degree angle. So if I only crash left it won't matter

Took it apart again. The 'O' ring had shifted out of its groove in one tiny spot.
It wasn't noticible but it sure leaked. Rotated the 'O' ring and problem solved.

Now I can crash on both sides. Whew!
