Fuel filter in tank

Plenty of folks here have them.

I installed one and it does slow the refueling process quite a bit, as well as force you to be careful where the nozzle is pointed or else the fuel comes shooting back at you.

Not sure how I feel about mine, though it is still in there after 800 miles. If you use pump gas, I don't see the need. If you fill out of cans and other methods out in the field, dirt and dust will get into your tank, and this is where this comes in handy.

Some folks carry theirs in a ziplock in the tankbag and install it as needed. I might go that route next.

I used to use one, but it was too much hassle. I generally buy gas from a reputable source, so it wasn't ever catching anything. If you buy gas from a small station in the middle of nowhere that has questionable gas, it might be worth using.

I've had one in mine from day one. It does create a bit of pain when fueling but I'm ok with it for the peace of mind. Also put the Golan in line filter when new. 2500 miles with zero fuel pump/injector problems.

Golan in line filter??? Is it to replace a Husaberg part?

I ran the first 2000 miles still using the small factory filter at the throttle body. At the last maintenance, I remembered it being there and removed. I installed the Golan in place of the quick disconnect using all new fuel line and clamps. That way I can return it to "stock" condition with no cut lines. Probably overkill but one less thing to worry about.

Thank you very much!
But isn't possible to clean the factory filter? Or is just no good?

I don't know if the small factory filter can be cleaned, I would suspect yes. The service bulletin regarding the older faulty filters had the washout plugs and an extra filter so maybe they need to be replaced?

I liked the idea of much larger filter surface area and the reports of the factory filter to melt closed. Again, the ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure thing.
