Hi guys i'm new to this site and to my first Husaberg its a 05 fs650e, Just wanna give a thump's up to this site it top class! Well i've got a question for u guys what do u think is the most important components to replace in the engine to prevent any serious damage thats a common fault or bound to happen? The bike's done 3400km's got a full akrapovic and i think thats about it. doesn't seem to have any problems but things happen! Any input would be a great help thanks allot.

Rob, do you know what work has bee ndone to the engine in the past four years, if you have no service history or info then you need to open the engine up and see how she looks.

Well he told me the crank and piston is titanium which i find hard to believe cause i've never herd of such a thing, i live in cyprus so he's a greek guy and i'm south afrian so maybe he's just trying to blag me a little thinking i'm not to jackd up on bikes, but this is new to me the Berg that is, i'm waiting for the service manuel. who knows when i'll get that. so u recon i should open her up?

I bought an 02 fs650e with unknown service history, opened her up after a few months and found the cam had lost its hardening on the inlet lobe and the follower was breaking down also. The de-comp stop bolt had also lost its nut which was luckily resting on the cam chain guide......... very lucky on my part!
If you pull the head off at least you will see how this is all doing and see what state the bore is in, better safe than sorry.
Good luck and check out the owners doc on the left for a service manual you can download.
