FS650 owner in Amsterdam

Hello Berg fans,

After owning 5 different bikes in the past 12 years, including a husky SMR450 '04, I decided to sell my KTM RC8 and go for another hardcore supermoto.

I found an '08 FS650 with an Akrapovic "silencer" and only 1500km (just under 1000 miles) on it and I was sold!

It needs a new stator as it isn't charging the battery, new tires (the front is still the original one!) and of course some personal touches like mini mirrors (already ordered), hand guards (a Zeta set is on it's way) and some form of an ignition key (if you guys have any suggestions, please do tell!).

you can still buy the ignition barrel and key but it is where to mount it? most people have cut off the alloy bracket.

might not be the stator (unless you KNOW that it is?) because it can still be the regulator/rectifier or the solenoid?

I've ordered a universal ignition switch and I'm thinking of mounting it underneath my seat with the other electronics.

The previous owner told me the stator got loose due to vibration and was damaged after which 3 light coils died but I'm going to measure the resistance tomorrow to make sure that is indeed the problem.
With a charged battery or kickstart the bike runs and rides normal :)
