FS650 No Axial play

Hi guys,

Its been a while as ive been out on the bike ringing its neck everywhere

oil change every 5 hours and nothing seems (touch wood) to be going wrong so pretty happy.

Took off the cases to check axial play and for some reason im still getting nothing.

I took the shim off the crank shaft ar rebuild.

x2 roller bearings on (ignition and power side) and still i have nothing??

Seems to be running fine? ive done 50 hours like this.

hope somone could shed some light on this?

Im sure its supposed to move relitivly freely .55mm? or something?

It can be a bit tight to move axially, try put a cloth over your palm and push the crank as hard as you can.

^this. I can get 0.57mm of axial play with several gentle taps from the plastic hammer, before I sealed it up I could move it while rotating the crank by hand. I imagine they will loosen with time.

I would check it when the engine is hot.

Ill check it when its hot.

Took it to Knock hill last weekend. done X6 15 min sessions

FLAT OUT!

the thing performed perfectly! So good in the wet. Never got overtaken once!

Came off the bastard at about 70mph but all was good. just picked it back up again haha.

ill get her nice and hot and try check for play
