Hello there , having a major issuse with my bike at the moment.At any more than half throttle the motor dies of and does the big back fire/loss of power act.
When I first got it the bike was a real weapon,super quick/wheel stand in top gear ,etc.first race day of the season flew through most of the feild. Take it out a month later and the bike feels flat with no power at all.Swapped the deltro carb for a keihin that day but it made no difference.Have done a compression test and it was fine, did a leak down test and it was fine.swapped over all the electrics from a fe470 that I have but to no difference.Sent the ignition away to sparks to be rewound but no difference.Have fitted a new wiring loom, no change ,have put on 3 different fly wheels - no change ( I was told that the magnets can change polerarity).Have lined up all the cam timing ,removed and checked all the keyways.Have taken a carb of my ktm525 but no change.
When I use a timing light on the timing marks they advance as normal but at half throttle it appears to fire any where(could this be because the timing light cant keep up?)
The bike starts easy, one touch of the button every time , idles well , runs nice and smoooth up to half throttle, and then just dies away with abig hiccup/backfire arrange ment.It just cant or wont rev out.
Its exactly half throttle on any carb that I put on
Any one know what else to check???
