I'm looking to buy a FS650 again - had one years back, brilliant toy

Looking around a different bikes, model year 2004-8. I've noticed that the rear shock or at least the spring looks different. Most are yellow, but some have white springs on the rear shock.
Is there more to the difference than the color or???
