im having trouble starting my fs570 and think it maybe the toque limiter. anyone have a step by step procedure for repairing it? thx in advance for any info, rm
Jut repaired the torque limiter on my fs650 all you need to do is unscrew it use a wood or aluminium vice (bolt has alot of lock tight on it) clean it up where the clutch type material contacts i used wet and dry paper then when reasembling put a hardened shim washer in it under washer that i under bolt head i put. 3 x 1.8 shims in mine but around 1 x .4 in the normal put it back together using lock tight. Mine was free spining with 5nm should be 15 to 25nm. Good Luck
I agree the tighter the better but depend on how it grip to how much shimming i need. I started mine the other day after putting 3 x 1.8 shims in it I got the oil hot to flow around in engine i let it cool down for a few hours then tried starting off electric leg and kaboom started in a second problem licked. :bounce3:
