Hi all, my first post on here, I've just picked up a fs570 2011. First ride out today and the clutch seems to keep losing pressure can pump it back up by cycling the lever a good few times but then it loses pressure again. Can anyone help, hoping it's a simple fix, where should I start,

thanks in advance

Some slave cylinder can leak. My FE570 does. sounds like maybe yours is one of then. Bleed it with oil mineral and keep an eye on it. I have to check It every 6 months. Or you replace the slave cylinder.

Thanks rainerioI will check today and have a look today as I haven't touched anything yet I'll top it up any bleed it see if I get any improvement

You need to replace the o ring that seals slave piston. Happened to me. Think that engine heat caused it. This motor produces lots of heat. Intake boot also may start cracking due to heat.

Thanks fe390vt I will order some and let you know how I get on

Piston seal i should have said, as there is also an o ring that seats the slave cylinder to motor. Think it may be the same seal as brake piston as I believe i used a spare from brake. Dont have part no. Kind off a pain to get the new seal in if i remember correctly. You may want to buy a couple spares in case it rips.

I took off the master cylinder cap, the level was low in there, so I went and bought some mineral oil, topped it up and it has been fine ever since, I gave Midwest a call and explained to them what had happened and they said just closely monitor the level in the MC. im not sure whether to order the piston seal or a new slave

+ 1 on the slave cyl. O rings. Not hard to replace. Sorry, don't have a PN, I bought 5 from someone who bought 100. If it starts leaking again (I think it will) and you can't find a replacement send me a message.

How about size of O-ring. You know something like 60mm OD x 2mm thick it has to made by someone. Thanks and I have to fill it about every 6 months and it's going to take a crap some day and have to replace it.

Thanks Srg if it's not to much hassle could you measure it, I think I know a place where I can get one with the right dimensions
