Hello 2short, welcome to the UHE!

Do you have the Owners Manual for your Berg?

If not, then go to www.husaberg.se and down load from former files the year and language version you want.

In section 10, page 23, Front Wheel, will be a picture showing a spacer, item 3 between the wheel hub and the left fork leg. It also shows a hex nut on the axle. When installing the wheel, you just lightly tighten nut to draw the wheel toward the left fork leg before tightening the item 2 bolts on the left fork leg. After tightening and torquing the Item 2 bolts on the left fork leg tighten the item 3 nut. Remember to mount the item 3 spacer with the large flange next to the fork leg.

Then compress the forks a couple times to get the fork legs parallel and then tighten and torque the item 2 bolts on the right fork leg.

Let us know what you found out.

Regards,

Joe

Measure the distance from each fork leg to the the spoke anchor flanges on the hub to see they are the same. If they are, the hub must be central. If not, there must be problems with the axle spacers and probably a corresponding probem with the front brake caliper on the disc.

If the rim is off centre with the hub central then chances are the wheel has been respoked before. If the spokes on one side are all tightened before the ones on the other side, the rim sits off the hub centre as you describe.

I also noticed my 05 FS650E front rim was about 5mm closer to one fork than the other.

I sat down with a spoke wrench and loosened the spokes on one side and tighted the spokes on the other size to center the rim between the forks.
