Can anyone clarify this mod, the 04 fork internals run three bushings plus an aluminium tube.
I have been told by some one but can't remember who, when rebuilding the forks they function better if the centre bush and tube is left out.
If you look at the parts manual for the 05 forks there is only two bushings in there as standard and no tube, can any body shed any light on this.
I must say I've run the forks as standard up until the accident and always thought that the feeling was a bit vague not very responsive especially at low speed, this could be due to the fact that there was to much friction inside due to the third bushing and this is why they revised the internals in 05.
Both legs were aligned correctly, with both fork caps off the forks would push in all the way smoothly no binding.
Regards
Sparks.
