Some how i'm not all that surprised, leave the tools alone.

There is another thing wrong from the photo you took!

The cam plug is in backward!

Boss, it's a learning curve, and I am not the only one who's had this issue with the exploded cover. It has nothing to do with extensive work on the bike, but rather with a regular maintenance operation done wrong. It happened to others (including Taffy).

I am not going to take the bike to a shop for them to do a valve adjustment knowing that 1-they may not know how to do it right on a Berg, 3-it's going to cost and 3-I already made the mistake and learned from it.

Yes, I already know for the cam plug. Somehow it would not fit but figured out why.

I am not going to lay down the tools. Nobody taught me mechanics, I just learn on my own although I do ask a lot of questions.

I never went to computer or programming school, I majored in linguistics but learned programming on my own and I ended up pretty good at my game, I can even tell you I may very well be the best in my office.

But thanks for your word of encouragement, Boss. I'm just to stubborn to leave the tools alone.

Good on you Froggy !! I have not done as much as you have on my bike but when the time comes I also want to be able to do it. I have self taught myself many other things such as tig welding and alarm installations - had to as I think I blew up the original one installed by moving a few sensors :) I use whatever resources I can such as forums, internet and tech documents. Most of the time you can get help from people if you try to do as much as you can by yourself.

Is it possible that your torque wrench needs calibration ?? I am no expert on this :) It is just a thought as it may be giving you incorrect readings ?

mr le frog sir

it's all about learning and saving hard earned $$$ , why pay someone else when you can do it yourself . [ properly ]

the advice you have been offered is sound , especially the advice on a new cam chain .
sometimes it is better to spend a little $$$ in order to save a lot of $$$

you savvy ?
