I can't quite get all the paint off but I think the no. is YU7FE5010W0001

The YU bit is hard to make out.

Anyway, I was told it's an FE600 & the looms got ignition switch/key and lights so it must have been road legal at some point! I just need the age to apply for a registration document or just to see if there is one already issued!

Thanks

CC chould be stamped on the cylinder base and 10th digit refers to the year with W being a 98

you'll have to do the footwork but go into 'forums' go into search at the top. author taffy and try everything from

peterborough
swansea
DVLC

the lot. the frame numbers were thrashed out less than a month ago (or so it feels)

i gave the factory and david larsson a letter and all my VIN numbers. got a nice letter back with date of manufacture and swansea accepted it fine.

i have covered this in good detail. make sure you call it an enduro not a trail bike. i will PM you david larsson's e-mail address.

model year

some parts of the bike such as the cylinder, fuel tank e.t.c. have a date mark on them, couldn't it be a good indication of the bike's birth date?
or is it possible to have for instance a 96 model like my 600 using parts from older editions like 93? i say this because my 600's lisence shows birth year 96 but the cylinder has a 93 mark. but in the other hand someone might have changed it with a cylinder in stock.
