I've found Dirt Rider magazine's "Dr. Dirt" video series on YouTube to be very good and practical. Scot Gustafson does these. Here he does fork seals: http://youtu.be/eru0iV8sU8Y

iirc there's one video for closed chamber and one for open - I think this is the closed chamber version to match what's on your bike.

haven't done CC forks but OC ones are quite easy and don't require many tools at all!

Hi there,
my last bike a 2004 FE550 done many hundreds of hours on the original fork seals. I used to remove the air breather screws when not in use. Keep the fork legs clean, go around mud holes where I could. Never disturbed the dust seals.
If forks does start to leak, pop out the dust seals , get a piece of camera film, slide it up between the fork seal and fork leg , it is soft and picks up and moves the crap between the fork leg and seal, and most times, it has sealed again.
Much easier giving that a go first, than replacing seals.

My 2014 bike, started to leak early, I realised I left it un washed in shed over hot summer with fine clay mud baked on fork legs , the newer type plastic fork leg protector covers right around fork leg and was hard to see it on there.
Was going to remove forks , but remembered that camera film trick, now they are sealed again.
Something to consider.
