I want to get a bunch of folks out to Foresthill, CA on 04 Mar 2006. Just a day out and back. Looking to meet at Parkers Flat, at about 0900 hrs. I've got a buddy coming up on a Cannondale. Looking to ride at least 80 miles...

foresthill was closed by the Foresthill USFS ranger district new supervisor on Friday January 13th and is closed till may 25, 2006. It was a wet weather closure due to no snow ( normally snow closes 70% of the trails by christmas) and 20" of rain in late december and early january. Many OHvers have contacted the Rangers office and asked for a more reasonable rain closure policy.........The Ranger has only responded by a press release, two weeks ago, saying they are protecting resources and that they will do a damage survey when the weather drys and if we have a dry spring and if they can find the staff to fix the trails maybe they will open before May 25.

I just saw that...and last year I was up there in March...It hasn't been that wet...I've been watching... and I live right down the hill. What a load of enviro crap.
