Force Ride USA 2006

Where ever we park the motorhome, USA
I realize the Canadians would like to host next years event, but there are alot of members that won't be able to attend due to the logistics, or the licensing requirements. Realistically, can you make an FC street legal in Canada? At a reasonable cost? What if you don't have a title? I know alot of guys that never submitted their MSO for a title. Lots of potential problems. So, I thought instead of raining on their parade, we could still do a Force Ride in the USA on a week that doesn't conflict with their event.

Any suggestions for what region to host The Ride?

Splat, I think Idaho City Idaho would be a great place for the 2006 Force ride. Its about a hour northeast of Boise. They have the ISDE qualifier there in June, awesome riding. I was up there in September. Cheap hotels and great restaurants.

What about scheduling the Husaberg ride at the same time as the qualifier and see what kind of turnout we could get for the qualifier?

Maybe we could get the organizers to put all the berg's on sequential minutes, aka Husaberg train.

That way we can all start (or not start) together

I can see it now, 8 husabergs all lined up and everyone kicking until they pass out from exhaustion. I better bring my Gas Gas, just in case.

Sorry for the late reply, EE. I think Idaho City sounds pretty good.

Can you provide some recommendations for hotels and rv parks?

Can you take the lead on this?
I can't help on this one because I don't have internet access on a consistant basis. I may get mobile satellite access, but I keep putting off the purchase of the equipment.

We need to settle on a date.

How many people are interested?

Then why would we kick start them? We'll bring tow cables and you'll just tow start us all.

Splat. We stayed at the Idaho City Hotel. We got a great deal in September, 3 rooms with twin beds and each room has its own bathroom all for $55.00 per night. I will check on rates and availability for June. Its a old hotel but clean.

we made an agreement that we wouldn't keep using the term 'force ride' for everything including riding down to the chip shop for supper etc etc.

it was agreed that either we had one-a-year and that fry has called canada so it's there for 2006 OR it was said that it's every two years but i think once-per-year was agreed.

everything else should be named another way and the sites focus should be on one big gathering and not lots of the 'this is the best types'.

we didn't pull you up for the title coz you been away and we all love ya too much fella!

i wish everyone would focus on the canadian force ride and wish you all good luck.

i'm disappointed that NOBODY is agreed on how good 2007 could and should be and where it should be. i get the feeling though that several of those that called moab don't want to travel too far. just find the very best ride in the USA, the most stunning scenery and call it for march 2007. i'll be there i hope.

we need to sort things better at UHE. i think that without having a committee the best we can do is have a full chat and concensus on a thread and that's what we had.

if that still isn't good enough then we need a committee of three to sanction what gets the title each year of force ride.

if i get things sorted, and i mean sorted. i intend getting you all over here for the force ride 2008. no ifs or buts $400 for the flight and everything laid on for when you get here!

ponder that!

some of you haven't even left the states!

Taffy,
I'm up for Canada 06 and somewhere 07. Merry ole England in 08 ?
How much is it to ship a bike across the big pond? Laid on ?what the heck does that mean? Your my bud but your NOT going to lay on ME! :D
This next ride is just an escape to warmer climate with some Husabuddys NOT a Force ride. For christs sake there are only going to be about 10 of us so right there that cant be much of a FORCE can it?

Bob,

It's about $500 or so ship a bike across the pond. I just bought my lady a plane ticket to go home, on Delta, and it was $550.

BUT, I'll be there in England in '08 too! It would be worth it. Crap, you can't get lost, the place is an island. Just ride till you hit salt water, and turn. :D

Who needs a committee when we already have you for our King?

Hail King Taffy!
Long live the King!

heh heh. i haven't decided if i'll race the 550 or my 250sx. but if you want to be on our near my minute, i'm going to race AA with uh-oh from ktmtalk. AA is a new class this year, it's basically LOI time schedule but w/o the need to submit the letter of intent and pay the extra fee to try to actually go to the isde.

whichever bike i race, i'm planning on bringing both bikes to the qualifier, and showing up a few days early to do some riding and have fun.

Will you guys post the specifics regarding this event?
Also some recommendations for motels and campgrounds?
thanks.

hotels will probably be full, but you can camp for free a mile or two outside of town. if you get there early (or have a very small rig) you can camp at the start/finish. i'm doing the free thing again. usually the course runs right past the main free area, which is a large open area across the river from the road, easily accessible by bumpy dirt road, but a road that is traversible by big rv's (no clearance problems, just some potholes and stuff).

So I was going through this topic and see that there are a few of you coming up here to Idaho. We have been blessed with a great snow year. At this point there is no telling what the trails will be like. most likely they will be fine, but if it is a cold wet May, like it can be, the trails will be muddy and slick.

Sounds good to me, I will take mud over dust anyday.
Headed to Missouri tonight to pick up my brother a TM 300.
Will be up there for the ISDE.

The weather so far has been nice, so it may not be as nasty as it could have been. But this is Idaho, wait 5 and it could change
