Flywheel puller (with added main bearing removal)

Ok thanks guys, i guess ill try the "heat it and bash with a hammer" trick and if that fails ill chop it off like boss has mentioned.

Only thing im abit worried about is, what if the crank endfloat needs shimming after i fit the new bearings :?:

cheers

If you look at the special tools section of the repair manual, they show a clamp type bearing race tool. It is preheated then squeezed onto the inner race to warm it and allow you to pull it off. If your crank is clean and you have a new race, remove it by using a high output heat gun. Warm the race, then carefully start it moving with a fine chisel, then pry it up with two screwdrivers. Not as good as the right tool, but you should be able to get it done. The repair manual tells you how to do the shimming job by measurement so there is a chance you can get it right the first time you install the race.

Yeh ive saw the tool in the manual. I havent saw how to measure so you can work out roughly what the endfloat will be :?:

Also been reading the "main bearing" thread and to be quite honest im more confused about what bearings to use than anything LOL tbh i think ill just stick with whats in there already (rollers).

cheers
