hi people
racing a berg fs650 supermoto can I lighten fly wheel and if so by how much before I get a negitive effect, currently running high comp piston hot cams etc
hope u can help rag

you can't lighten the original flywheel but you can fit the FC flywheel. it's costs a few bob i'll tell thee though!

it's smaller and lighter in diameter and all it does is charge the ignition system so you'll have to remove the battery and starter or at least while you tested it you could go to a race with a charged battery and start the engine off it. all you need to do is to charge the battery twixt races.

you'd have the benefit of a lighter flywheel and less drain from the ignition drawing to charge the battery.

you could get rid of the CB and grind the gear of the intermediate shaft, remove the estart internals

mine revs up quicker without all that clattering junk

all the 650cc elko pistons are the same(squish, compression, height)? regardless of the year(06-08)

i think that was a question yes?

all; the elko/mahle pistons are the same from 2004-2008. Remember, i do a piston with higher compression but have yet to use it in anger.
