Fuel Injection warning lamp flashes:
6x short = Throttle position sensor (TPS)
Did you maybe damage a wire in the main loom taking the Tank on and off?
The Wiring Loom seems to be vulnerable where it runs past the top of the Rear Shock Absorber.
I have seen 1 other post saying they had replaced a TPS Sensor:

There are 3 Wires on the TPS:
You can easily test pin 2 (Blue) and pin 3 (Black) in the wiring loom.
Disconnect the TPS connector.
Just have a Multimeter on low voltage DC Scale (say 20V DC).
Put the Multimeter Red Lead on the Blue Wire in the TPS connector and the Multimeter Black Lead on the Black Wire in the TPS connector and you should see +5V (4.9V to 5.1V to be exact). You will have to touch the starter to get the power relay to click in, to get this measurement.
To test the 3rd (Pin 1 yellow) Wire you would have to disconnect the EFI Computer under the seat and measure the resistance of the wire by putting one lead of the Multimeter on the Pin 3 in the TPS connector and the equivalent wire in the EFI Connector under the seat which is the yellow wire Pin 5. Switch the Multimeter to the Resistance Scale and look for a very low resistance, something close to zero ohms. Something like 0.6 Ohms.
You should also check that wire is not shorted to Chassis Ground by measuring the Resistance between the yellow wire and the Bike Frame (Ground). It should be infinity (Off the scale on the resistance setting).
You can test the TPS Sensor by measuring the Resistance between pins 2 and 3 on the TPS Sensor. Disconnect the TPS connector and place the Multimeter on the Resistance scale and measure this resistance. Post up what resistance it is and I will measure the resistance on mine to compare.
Next, Measure the resistance between Pin 1 and Pin 3 of the TPS sensor. That resistance should change as you slowly open the throttle. Post up what you see. It will either go from a high to low reading or a low to high reading as you open the throttle.
The TPS Sensor is just a simple variable resistor, I just don’t know the resistance values.
