Fix or sell?

Hi!

Got a call from my mechanic today and got the verdict on my engine. Turns out i have a bad bearing, on the crankshaft, which in turn has caused damage to both piston and the cylinder liner.

The work cost to fix it would be 3,300 SEK (318 EUR). But the parts cost about 14,000 SEK (1350 EUR).

I'm not willing to put that kind of money on a bike I got for 24,000 SEK (2,310 EUR)

Is there any way of getting the parts cheap or maybe a complete engine. Somewhere near Sweden would be nice.

The bike is a Husaberg FE450 '06.

Best regards

well I do cheaper rods than the factory
I also do cheaper pistons than the factory
my mains are cheaper
camchain will be cheaper
I re-nikasil rather than a new liner which is 50% less.

ah but the post ruins it....it'll cost 20 euros to post it....guess that kills it....

How much are we talking in total?

PM me mate. and for a proper price you need to supply a proper list. i don't know what you need from sat here.

ask the mechanic to draw up a list of parts required.
