Holy sheet what a ride. We covered 100 km ( 60 mi ) at a 200 acre reserve on the edge of town ( 5 mins ride from home ). We recieved 37 mm of rain last night on top of the last fortnight of rain. Conditons were greasy, sloppy red clay and black soil ranging from single track iron bark scrub to graded power line access trails. Myself ( FE 570 ) Robbo ( FE 570) Teeny ( DRZ 400 ) Jamie ( 230 kitted WR 200 ) Rod ( TE 450 ) and Morry ( xr 250 ) set off from Jamies place and attacked the trails with a vengance. The slippery muddy conditions allowed for some MASSIVE roosts, hilaroius stacks and some plain old good fun.
This was my first decent ride on the new girl and I was impressed big time. The chassis is awesome, no other way to describe it. Robbo and I were finding ourselves getting away with all sorts of **** that just wouldn't fly on most other bikes, I was enthralled by the endless, effortless wave of torque produced but the 570 mill. I found myself wishing I could pull two gears at a time to use that phat torque. Wheelies and big roosts were the order of the day for us 570 riders. I found position 2 on the map switch and didnt look back. Arm pump was non existent, it felt like we could ride forever, but that was not to be the case. After 83 km of thrashing my steed bailed up on me. Out of F#$%ing fuel
...... c#%t. Middle of nowhere, pissing down rain no, f%$#ing lighter for my cigarette !The low fuel light is a good investment if it works I guess. So the guys did a mercy dash and we were on the way again untill the weather turned into a rain white out, Jamie's WR decided that it had had enough so I doubled him home.
Robbo and I went to The Henley Compound ( My place ) for a wash some John ( We know JD that well we call him John ) and some bench racing. Spit shined the bikes, tank off, lots of truckwash, fu#ken awesome ride goining again tomorrow to Flatrock and Diamatina FUGG YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pics are in my album dunno how to post em up her ?
