BOUGHT MY NEW 570 LAST WEEK DID A BIT OF SHOPPING ON EBAY AND VARIOS WEB SITES SAVED ALOT OF MONEY BY DOING MY HOMEWORK .
FMF POWERCORE MUFFLER ,WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN THE WHOLE POWER RANGE.
PIVOT PEGZ,WISH I HAD THESE ON MY OTHER BIKE SO MUCH EASIER CHANGING UP AND DOWN THE GEARS WHILST STANDING UP.
MRC STEERING DAMPER, GREAT FOR THE VERSITILITY TO STIFFEN YOUR STEERING UP THROUGH LONG FAST WHOOPS.STEG PEGZ ,HAD THEM ON MY LAST BIKE WOULDNT RIDE WITHOUT THEM STOPS MAJOR ARM PUMP.
PIRRIE PRODUCTS CARBON FIBRE EXHAUST SHIELD,HEARD ABOUT SOME PEOPLE BURNING THEIR NYLONS ON THE MANIFOLD GOOD INVESTMENT .
FORCE RADIATOR GUARDS.
BIKE IS AWSOME ALL I HAVE TO DO NOW IS A REVALVE AND RESPRING FOR MY WEIGHT AND ITS READY FOR ANOTHER FINKE DESERT RACE .

I looked at Steg Pegz for calf support when standing up, but wonderred how useful these would be with pivot pegz - can you comment on your experience?

Regards
fizz

Found it great you can slide the rubber on the steg peg back or forward 50mm to suit where you want them so if you want the full pivot back you just adjust your steg peg to suit how far back you want to go .
Awsome for monos to as the steg peg grips into the back of your boot .

Congrats on the new bike. It's amazing how much the exhaust will wake up the sleeping giant. Do you ride primarily off road? How about a gearing change?

yeah changing my gearing to 14 46 to run for finke all offroad riding.

I've just settled on 14:48 (all off road) seems to be the best compromise for me in tight vs open (and sand) terrains.

Agree with the FMF pipe (I have a Ti4) really woke it up. Have heaps of other bling on mine, but not pivot pegs......but I keep hearing good things about them.

Waiting on my Ohlins SD2.1 damper as well.

Hey titan, congrats on the new bike....Who will do your suspension work?

Not to sure yet you got any recomendations.

No sorry that's why I asked.

I have recently enquired at Southern racing suspension and been quoted $1200 for revalve and respring but I don't know of any body that has dealt with them or if that is a reasonable price!

I am only an average rider so I don't even know if I would benefit much from it

But having said that I think there is room for improvement in my bikes handeling, So what to do? :?

In the process of pimping out new 570 also. It's good for the bike and good therapy for me. Went with the G2 Ergonomics throttle with the 400 cam, Turn Tech lithium battery to shave a bit of weight, Fork bleed valves, Akrapovic slip on, map switch, 48/8.4 springs, 13/52 sprockets, KTM 548030040000 adjustable footpegs, KTM plastic handguards, BRP Moto.com chain guide, Bulletproofdesigns.com swing arm tab protector, Boyesen shockout left grip, Guts tall seat, Scotts sub mount, Enduro Engineering shark fin, motion Pro lite rim locks, etc., etc. Where does it all end?

Have only ridden on tar so far, have two feet of snow on ground still. Rode a 390 successfully in New England enduro series last year but I have a feeling that this 570 is going to behave a bit differently on our gnarly terrain here. Leaving soon to to do some fast sandy riding in South Carolina then Florida and looking forward to getting to know all about this Gentle Giant.

Duncan, I'm headed to Fla. too with my FE450 - will be riding Ocala Natl. Forrest. Those are the same springs I'm putting on, but haven't ridden it yet. I'm at 225 w/o gear. What's your weight?

I'm 205 without gear. Last year I ran 46/80 with 390 for gnarly rooty rocky New England enduros and felt like I could go a bit stiffer. The '11 570 comes with 46 up front. I probably won't have time to put in my 48's before heading to the sunny south so looks like I'm doing 46/84. The 84 sounds stiff but I'm running 120mm sag and the sandy woops will be something to contend with. We may ride Ocala and or Croom. I'll PM you my cell #. Hope to see you down there.

Where does it all end?
Be patient young grasshopper, the end is near. :D

All you will need is the 610 big bore kit, a TuneBoy Husaberg Cable (when they are released), a weld on 18mm x 1.5mm Stainless Steel bung for the Exhaust Header, a borrowed Wide Band Air/Fuel Ratio Meter and a day on the Dyno.

Davo.

gimme gimme gimme. :bounce: Yokels I ride with only understand power, and if it doenst go past a CRF 450 in all gears on the bitumen its no good. So the time for talking quietly is over, I'll say nothing and carry a really really REALLY big stick 8)

Can someone post a Pic of the Steg Pegs installed on one of our 70deg bergs?

I'd like to see how they're installed, given our "unique" subframe.

Mate haven't had a chance to take a photo but if you google Steg pegz and contact them they mite email you some photos I'll try and take some in the next week but I'm telling you they work awsome in long whoops and standing up for long periods of time

Ya, I emailed the fella from the company...he didn't have any pics of the berg parts. Look forward to seeing prior to buying. I've got a riding buddy who uses rope and hose on his KTM for the support like the stegs, but our design probably wouldn't work for that.
