Ok, finally got the Berg into the woods today. Of course, overnight, it rained pretty good. Then, just as we were to hit the trails, the sky opened again. We rode anyhow. Put about twenty miles on the FX 450 today. I was timid while learning how the Berg handled and concerned about the wet and the tree roots. The bike absolutely went everywhere I pointed it. The suspension is definitely going to need some break in time as it really didn't move at all. Felt better the more I rode it. The speed is very deceptive. I would get going down a straight in the tight woods. I would twist the throttle. The bike was so quiet and smooth, it didn't really feel like I was moving. Of course, then you get to the end of the straight and have to slow for some tight, tight trees and a turn and you realize you're going a bunch faster than you thought you were going. I was keeping up very easily with guys who have been faster than me. I can't wait to get racing on this bike!!!
Attention CLAY. I rode with Stan today and he was having flashbacks to the race in North Carolina when he was introduced to you Berg. I was following him today and he was worried my Berg was going to run him over too!!! Hee hee.
