I am new to dirt bikes and this is my first ever dirt ride!

I simply can't describe the feelings and my excitement hits the sky!

I just can't wait for winter to come and unfortunately it's a long long summer here in Rhodes

Since I have a post already in this section of the forum, I will use it as my thread for pics and vids.

Here's one from yesterday

This is taken in Rhodes, Greece and even though this was some sort of an enduro day, most of the bikes were in fact MX bikes!

More to follow soon

new vid from yesterday's training.

still struggling on the dirt with my berg, I think the power is overwhelming and my MX skills are nothing like my SM skills.

Will get there though, practice makes perfect!

Christos, suspension settings are everything! :D

what is the marshaling like at a MX track in Rhodes? if you were to have a big 'off'?

Taffy

Hey Taffy

I think my suspension settings are OK, I had my mechanic to set the SAG and all, but I think both the rear and front suspension could use some servicing. If you have noticed, in the video there is some squeaking during bumps and especially after landings. Well, this is my front suspension! To be honest, the bike handles my 100kg well, but the squeaking can't be good.

As far as the question you asked, to be honest I am not quite sure I understand what you mean, but I can tell you that all MX tracks here in Rhodes are just MX tracks sitting in the middle of nowhere. For example, the track in the vid is in state-owned land that no one cares about. The riders who train there maintain it once or twice a year and that's it.
Most of the time, I am there alone training; good thing it is a five minute ride from home.

If there are any formal races in Rhodes, these are most likely friendly-type or cup races and in most cases, local, not part of the national championship
