Yesterday was my first "REAL" (other than around the block) ride on my 2002 FE501e.
It must have been a good ride, because I can barely walk, or move at all... The old bones and muscles got a rather wicked work out, but all good, because I cant seem to wipe the **** eating grin off my face.....
I rode for nearly 3 hours, with an average speed of 22 kmh, total distance of 128kms, max speed of 54 kmh, and a few pit stops to replenish liquids....
As this is my first off road bike, I thought I rode rather hard, and my KTM buddy agreed.... I had a blast, and once the muscles loosen up again, I'll be right back on the saddle roost'in Alberta Skeg!!!!
I only had 1 minor incedent, I came around a corner, toes up on the left, cracked the throttle, and my front tire washed out right out from under me....oh well, had my gear on, and was only in first gear, so I flopped over like a fish outta water...No harm, no hurt, good to go.....
So far I am very impressed with the torque, the handling, and response of the bike, and I can't wait to get some more kms on my new ride.....
