We went out to our first poker run of the year yesterday, for those not familiar, a poker run is an organized trail ride where you pick a from a deck of cards at check points along the way. Best poker hand wins. The run was held in the China Hat area here in central Oregon(same area BOSS uses for his runs). The weather was perfect, my 470 ran like a champ, and I got around all the squids in the first ten miles. the next forty miles were moist dirt, third and fourth gear trail. the trails were fun and for those of use that rode the long course, technical in areas. the best part, was I drew a three of a kind(Kings) and finished in the top fifteen! My best placing for such an event. My buddies on Hondas got stuck behind quads and squids all day, guess they should buy Bergs so the can get through the pack quicker. Anyway, it was an epic day that I wanted to share with you all. Tis the season, get out and rip!

Texas Hold'em or 5 card stud?

Sounds like a great time even though I can't imagine what it's like to ride with Quads.

Kelsow, 5card stud. Riding with quads is very uh..interesting to say the least. The fact that they take up the whole trail and create so much dust is not a big deal, but they usually do not pull over to let the bikes by, so passing can be a real challenge. The up side, when you go to pass a bike, it feels like your riding on a four lane interstate highway!

When ever I sell an ATV we equip it with a 4 xi 8 piece of plywood. This hangs from the rear rack,When I encounter one of these on the trail I can then use the plywood as a ramp to jump over the ATV,this way my trail ride is not compromised.
NO, i am not serious!
