I love watching girls ride fast
8O
kinda creepy, mike, but i can't argue with it.
I was not being nasty. To see a girl ride a bike fast is impressive. They do not have the strength of guys, and ride with a tremendous amount of precision. That is impressive.

Not offended in the least guys! And you're right, balance and finesse is what it's about for me but I still have a bit of brawn  . I'm probably too old for ya'll anyhow. I get the Berg delivered tomorrow and I'm so excited...sorry to hijack this thread!

Oh and Mike, you should decrease the preload let your daughter try the Berg, you might be surprised! Have a Happy New Year, it's off for a drink to ring in 2010 and a who sa berg a comin! Colleen :D

I changed the stock springs front and rear on my 08 berg for the next spring rate down
80/250 rear 4.2N/mm front on the advice of a dealer. To me the stock springs seemed
way to hard for my wieght (160lbs without riding gear) bike feels much better over rocks
etc and I haven't found them to soft when you wind up the pace.Husaberg recomend
35mm +/- 2mm static sag and 95-105mm riding sag and the comp adjustment standard
rebound adjustment reduced by a few clicks for the softer springs.Hpoe this helps

casey.

15/48 on my 08 550 is good for 171 km/hr and gets there fast, great for dusting jap MXers and is still tractable enough for single trail, my friend runs 16/40 on his 08 650 and it does over 190 km/hr. ( no gps just a few terrified glances at the speedo. ) Also the axleblocks can be flipped to accomodate different gearing combos without adding / removing chain links, makes it easy to find the right gearing specially if you have two wheels.

Colleen,
I am 45. Surely you are not older than me, still riding a Berg !

well I am older than you :bounce: (50) and I guess I'm going through a middle age dirt bike crisis so I got the Berg. I am going to a bit lighter spring over the 72-250 that was on it when the bike was a GNCC racer. The gearing is at 14/48 and works great on the tight indoor MX track using 2 & 3rd gears. After my 2nd time riding it I'm just starting to get some nice air on it and coming to the end of the table tops woooooo! I set the suspension up firmer than the stock settings but lighter than it's GNCC race settings and really love how it feels.

Dang.....You are impressive.....Maybe you could post a video of you riding...that would be so cool !!!!!
