I would be out there in a flash, it would come highly in my list of things, must do,especially before you get to old for it.
Be a great experience. I have been told just watching in some areas on the track is soething to see.

This is my 5th finke and I'd say my last one getting to old back ,knees,basically whole body is stuffed yet I still go back I leave Sunday last year was the first one I didn't conquer as I blew my 06 450 berg up on the way back to Alice so I sold that and bought a 2011 570 berg what a weapon. I'm also doing it with my mate who didn't even get to the start line last year as he broke his shoulder in 3 places while we were pre running 2 days before the race.Cross fingers he gets to the start line this year.
All you blokes who do the Finke are bloody awesome lunatics, hope to join your ranks one day before I get too much older.....
Two riding buddies left Friday aus time and have been training with them for 3 months on and off one has done it a few times (#814. wr250) and the other is his first crack(#856 crf450r).Been in my ear that i would do it easy but need more time to get me as fast as the berg (I know my limits but i have not found its yet)...Safe ride boys.
Got here Sunday we did a pre run off some of the track it's going to be alot faster this year very dusty looks like it might rain which will be good .One rider that blew me away whilst having a break with my mate was Ryan Branford use to ride for honda on q berg 570 this year he's tipped to win it this year, he went past us at 150km plus absolutely flying . Keep you updated for the weekend.
