Just thought I would post a couple of pics of my 01 fe650. I bought it as a non runner and spent the last 8 months sorting it out, upgrading and getting it to where I was comfortable with it. Upgrades included Sparks Stator, carb freshen up kit, upgraded cam/chain, chain tensioner, ADC, dual valve springs, cutting the valves and seats, new sprague spring and a few other things. I had it starting on the button but it doesn't seem to want to any more. It does however start very well with the boot. So, until next winter, I'll be kicking it. Thanks to Taffy and everyone else here that helped with knowledge and advice. I bought it as a winter project to either sort out or part out. After riding my wr250 2T this thing is a totally different beast. In many ways the Berg seems to handle much better than my Husky, I've only had the bike out on our property but should be getting it plated soon and plan on D/S it and riding single track, fire roads and possibly a cross country or enduro. I'll see how we get along.
