I think Unclemoose has a FE501 for sale
in CA. If you get one I recommend one that
has already got the upgrades.

NMS, in Reno, is going to be letting go of brand new FE 400's for $4999. Either 03 or 04's. 775 358-4388 tell them Adam sent ya.

Hey Wanna,
If I had to buy a berg all over again I would talk to unklemoose
about his 501, its got all the parts you'll be buying later, it's been maintained properly, and I'm sure its all he says it is. If you're sure you want a new berg talk to Dan at motoxotica good prices and parts support
and he's a good guy too. Good luck and keep us posted.

My 2002 Fx470e is for sale, I'm in NorCal and ride with Unclemoose and the CERA gang. The bike had almost all of the motor mods done last winter plus I have a complete set of fresh plastic and the N style graphics and seat cover in a box and ready for ya to stick on. It'll be a beauty, that's for sure. Bought new from Moore & Sons, maintained by me and Mr. Pascarella, parts and the inside scoop mostly provided by Dan at Motoxotica, suspension by MX Tech here at I-moto in Livermore- plush! Anywhooo, PM me if you are interested. Eric

Cheap 400 found

I just called this shop:
McCoys Motorsports
10111 Highway 50 East
North Carson City 89706
phone: 775.246.1550
fax: 775.849.9939
[email protected]

They have a demo 02' 400 I think he said FE
He said he'd let go for $2999.00

If it's still there in a week or two, I'll be buying it for my son.

Yeah I have met him before. I beleive his new address is on 395 south by the Candie factory.
He and his son Ed listed in my sig, had a pretty good falling out. :(

Hey T-jet, I have some of the upgrades you mentioned on my Fx470e and questions about others.
How has the cam chain tensioner been modified? A longer plunger will cause the chain to grind away at the inner cases, unless you grind that area in advance, which means thinner material... Not recommended by some.
The rocker arms. I know the rollers wear quickly, but are the arms also upgraded?
I have the high output battery but stock starter motor and sprag gear. You must kick start a cold bike. Have the motor and sprag been changed? Many on this site achieved good and bad results by changing thier sprag gears, it's a lot to spend just to see if it works better.
The dual bearing counterbalancer upgrade is over 400$ just for the parts, a lot to spend if it ain't broke, I just replaced the stock bearing as a preventative measure. Mr. Lineaweaver recommends removal and rebalance as the ultimate fix.
Thanks for your time. Eric
