Filling with gas for the first time.

Went to fill her for the first time, squeezed the trigger while watching the pump and ended up spraying gas all over my self. Hands, crotch, pants
and bike.

I guess thats why on the 06's the filler is a bit to the right?

You know, thats one thing about these dirt bikes we never seem to pass on to new guys. It is just part of the breed.

The only off road bike tank I could ever fill without fear was a Malcom Smith 4.3 gallon tank I put onto my 1979 Husqvqrna 390 OR. Even then, I would sometimes over fill it!

Never fill them while sitting on the bike!

Is there any danger of creating a spark if you overfill and gas drips onto the solenoid/starter assembly? Motorcycle (and rider) barbecue could ensue...
