FI light blinks 9 times

On my 09 FE450 I'm getting 9 short blinks on my FI light… It's the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor warning… I've looked around here and haven't really seen anything that could help me resolve the problem or why it's doing it.. Started after complete clean/inspection of the throttle body, fuel pump, and fuel lines… Bike seems to run fine but the warning lights have me concerned. Any help would be much appreciated.. Thanks...

No experience with this so this is just my take on what I would do. I am guessing that the 9 blinks indicates a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor problem. Check the wiring and connections to make sure they are good and that the battery/charging system are working good. Then keep riding it as long as it runs good. When/if it will not start or begins to run poorly.....then change the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. Good luck.

if u are not the original owner, it may have been removed and replaced causing a loose contact. sometimes the connections are very sensitive and its very difficult to know if the connector is getting a good contact...i would guess the wires or the connector is not getting a solid contact. haven't seen any faulty sensors on the website either.
here's a file for all connectors, but you'll need a special pick to reinstall.

Thanks for the info... So what does the map sensor look like on these bikes?
Thanks

The MAP sensor (I believe) is the little [white] doodad that's in the airbox, next to the cyl-head breather vent. It plugs in under the airbox boot
