Dose any one know where I can get a kick start shaft because mine have snapped or a full starter motor set up ... I can get a full starter motor set up with all cogs and wires off a fx470 2001 the parts look alike but I really don't plz help thanks luke

on a part like that you're better off buying new. it's true a 470 will have a starter that will interchange, but it would be a backward step since the '01 and '02 starters were junk. and using '01 starter gears in an '03 is guaranteed to result in the howling gear noise.

well, pal; ur gonna hafta see what parts are under ur clutch cover aren't u?
assuming all they did was remove the starter, and the assoc gear parts are ok, you will need a mitsuba sm-14 starter (recommend a yam fzr600), a mounting bracket (good luck), relay and maybe battery/ battery box/ wiring harness.
the kicker shaft can be found at ur friendly berg parts dealer.

I broke the shaft on my 01 650 this past fall. I got one used from Rick at Boss Offroad. The original was unavailable from ktm . Taffy has them and he ships fast to Canada. You would prob get it quicker from him than from the states. This past winter I watched eBay and picked up two used ones cheap (read that as I'm a hoarder). I don't think you want to use the 01 starter stuff as you can't get the sprague new anymore so if it goes, you are done. You can prob put together most everything you need for the elect start by watching eBay. Forget about the berg starter, get a new yammy.

anything up to 2008 goes straight in. if you do a search on my web shop with the old reference number you'll see the new number. I have them in stock.

do not mix ANYTHING FROM that 2001 with anything from 2002-2008. as Ned says: you'll get a high pitched whining noise.
check if you have or haven't got the two gears required to leccy start the bike inside? you have a long way to go and Brits and Northerners are known to be skin-flints and things aren't looking too good for ya!!!!
