My brochure for the 1998 range doesn't include the FS600 yet I have decal sets for them!

does anyone have any literature or brochures for the 1998 Supermoto "FS" range?

also, which year did Husaberg start the 'FS' model in? was it 1998?

I'm trying to find out if the FS600 had an enduro low tank or an FC high tank?

cheers

Taffy

cheers! actually quite a complete bike in need of TLC! never registered though. Note how the decals ALWAYS come off the fuel tanks. This was the last year it was attempted.

Looks to have an FCR, crappy big gun, missing air filter, and general incompetent previous maintenance....typical "low hour" bike!:help:

My FX tank decal is still hanging on for dear life, might be one of the last

The "FS" was a U.S. only model available in 1998 and 1999. It came as a 600. FS600e. I have never seen any sales or other literature on these models nor have I seen one in person. I have read a magazine test on the 1998 model and it was posted on the internet at one time. The picture from that article is still floating around.

The FS was a street legal dual sport model. An FE with blinkers. A Euro spec model. To make it U.S. street legal emissions friendly the Dellorto carb was substituted with a U.S. made Edelbrock Quicksilver. These were the only factory dual sports ever available in the U.S. up until the 2011 FE570 came along.

The only official mention of the FS was in the 1999 Workshop Manual. In the General Information section it states; Dual Sport USA FS600: Edelbrock Quicksilver 38 and then provides the jetting specs. Thats it.

The fuel tank was the regular large FE type, not the smaller FC version.

It was not a supermoto.

Supermoto wheels were only available as a H-Line accessory up to the 2000 model year when a factory, non-street legal, Supermoto was then introduced. This applies only to the U.S. Not so sure about the RoW.

thanks Eric

so you'd say the 1999 'advertised' further up is probably a true model. 21" and 18" wheels?
