FE570 oil lines question

Hi,

I'm rebuilding my engine after my crankshaft bearings failed. I've cleaned everything and spent a lot of time on the oil lines... I took pictures while disassembling the engine and found that:

Before my complete clean-up, look at the oil jet in the top center/right of the picture:

Now, my clean-up is complete, with compressed air and everything:

There seems to be a tiny ball in the oil jet in the beginning. While cleaning, my compressed air got everything out of this oil jet.

My question: Is there a tiny ball in this oil jet or there was a debris in the first place in this oil jet ???

If there's not ball in this jet, my problem is solved... If there's a ball in there, can someone give me more specifications about this ball... I didn't find anything in the shop manual, nor the fiche parts...

Thanks !

Tom

Looks more likely a clogged jet to me. Can't really imagine why there would a ball in it (check valve, restrictor etc.).

Never seen one either on car engine blocks with piston squirters. But don't take my word for it, I haven't yet opened up my motor and it sits on work bench.

My dealer here in canada just got off the phone with the tech support from Husaberg and you were right: there's nothing in there...

I think I just found out why I had a failure in the first place... This oil squirter was clogged completely...

Thanks !

Tom
