FE570: largest front sprocket? & interchangeable with KTMs?

i've trawled the thread for info on this for a 2012 fe570 but get mixed opinions and results.

can anyone confirm the largest front sprocket possible for the fe570? i know the 14 tooth is easy, but wondering if a 15 tooth is possible, and if so does the chain guard need to be removed or modified to make room?

also, some riders say the berg front sprocket is different to the KTM EXC models, but i notice on ebay some sellers show them as being compatible. anyone got the definitive word on this?

Yeah they I put my te250 ones on my 450 all the time you should be fine

Hi hoosie,

I have a 14T on at the moment but or some long runs I have run a 15T on my 09 with no problems.

so the husky front sprockets fit on the bergs, interesting!

finally got hold of the local berg dealer, he said the ktm exc front sprockets from the 450, 500, 530 etc DO fit on the 2009+ FE models. will buy one today and advise if there are any probs.

Yeah the older bergs could use husky sprockets but you had to shim them for correct alignment. Im pretty sure the newer bergs are the same as KTM. Im not sure whether the older ones are the same as the newer ones, Ive never bothered to check. Just because a sprocket has the same spline doesnt necessarily mean its correct, I like to check them against a standard one to check the axial alignment of the teeth aswell.

KTM sprockets and countersprockets from the 250-530 RFS and XC4 bikes are the same as the 09-12 bergs, they even have to same part number so you can order them from a KTM or Husaberg dealer.
