I thought all 570's had a low fuel light like the UK spec bikes?
When I was getting the 'cutting out when hot' problems which turned out to be the faulty fuel pump syndrome I started carrying 1 litre of fuel in one of those camping fuel bottles which I'd chilled in the freezer so it cooled the pump down when poured in the tank. One of these bottles fits easily in a small backpak.

205km or 127 miles and just a smidgin left in the bottom of the tank. but that's cruisy adventure riding with 15/45 gearing with around 25kg of camping luggage.
