I still have my FE390 but keep picking up KTM 950 Adventures for a song- $2600, $1700 and $550. All had racks/Gobi panniers/etc etc. Hoping to make two nice bikes that match so my son (36) and I (61) can do Alaska, Baja, Nova Scotia and points between. One of the three is going to be a hooligan bike on 19/17's.
I got so worn out riding extreme single track here in the Appalachian Mountains with all the young GNCC riders I have begun to turn the 390 into a SM (for the wife, but really looking forward to being a naughty boy on it) and scored a set of FE650 wheels with less than 500 miles, including Behringer's beautiful blue Aeronal front disc (which is up for sale, DM me). I have some Heidenau K73s mounted up, went from a 52t rear to a 42 LOL. Putting a Baja Designs KL80 headlight on with Skene IQ275 dimmer along with street legal signals. I do need to address the suspension (feel free to chime in).
Where I live the mountains and turns are endless so while 570s are insane (I helped open KTM-Parts.com/AOMC so ridden them all including some ex-factory bikes KTM sold off as they do each season (they pull their wheels, suspension and put the 0 hours gear bike on).
Also, I passed 600,000 miles on street bikes in October, so I've been busy!
Cheers and Happy New Year to All!
