FE570 fuel consumption

Hi guys,

I own an FE570, 2009 model.

I have mounted the 70degrees subframe tank recently. I used to use a Safari front tank before that.

It looks like my fuel consumption is pretty high.

I'm using the Berg for Rally Raids and trail rides.

So, what is the mileage you get from a standard tank to start with? If someone has the 70d subtank, what is the total you get with both tanks?

Btw, my map ignition switch is set to "normal" mode.

Thanks..

2011 570 53 mpg highway. Not hard off road 35 mpg with or without the sub tank.

It seems to me that calibrating the throttle position sensor may be important for fuel consumption.

And I am always a little uncomfortable in not knowing what map is in the bike ...

Between correcting those two I'd think fuel consumption could be brought under control.

(And then maybe also reducing the "accelerator pump" functionality?)

How much is yours using, bebekos100?

Hi tourist,

With standard tank, in a race, I ran out after 90kms.

Today, in a friendly race, with the subtank full I made 160kms!!!

Yes US gallons. map switch tried all 3 setting on both bikes didn't see any real differents. Sorry I forget I'm talking to someone outside the U.S. . 22kms/liters and 14kms/liters or 4.438 liters/100km and 6.72 liter/100km (thanks Tourist)

Europe actually uses liters per 100 km :)

But! Google knows how to convert: https://www.google.com/search?q=53+mpg+in+liters+per+100+km

Incidentally, 4.5l/100km is what my DR-Z ALWAYS uses. (~53MPG)Doesn't matter AT ALL what I am doing with it. It has a tiny CV carb with no accelerator pump ... This hints to me that the accelerator pump functionality does help push the fuel consumption up if more fuel is used in races.

Thank you guys,

I need to deal with this situation cause it's getting more uncomfortable every time...

BTW, I've made the conversion Rainerio. Thanks for the anwer.

All desert (average, GPS, 46 MPH), 51T rear sprocket, and I get 35 mpg consistently.

Now my FS650, Taffy Jet Kit, and I get 50 MPG all day long. That thing lives between 5K-8.5K RPM when I ride too.

Sure wish I could see that on my 570.
