FE570 front brake pads - help needed!

i've done front brake pads plenty of times but never come across this. i put new pads but no matter what i do i cant get enough space for the disc to fit in... see pic below.

i've made sure the pistons are depressed as far as possible. they are about 1mm shy of being flush with the caliper itself so no problems there.

i've been pushing and prodding and there just doesn't seem to be any way to make them fit. these are some cheapie pads i ordered from ebay and i'm starting to wonder if they just put too much material on the brake pads so they are too wide?

any help much appreciated, haven't been able to ride for a week now!

Think you have answered your own question, Cheap pads  you Could try flat metal or wooden pad course sand paper and take a bit off them

thanks for the reply, yep they are definitely too thick so will try sanding them back or otherwise just fork out for another set!

somebody has cross referenced the shape but not checked the thickness out.

I don't see why you should even touch them. send them back if they are wrong. they also don't look sintered which (IMHO) means that they will be rubbish when you finally grind them down anyway!

seller said the batches were mixed up so returning to get the right ones. the width of the material on the pads is different so looks like i got one correct one but one for another kato model. damn.

thanks guys, the ebay seller has advised a bunch of berg/kato pads were not labelled correctly so can send back for a refund!

just realized they are mismatched too, one pad is slightly thicker than the other.
