First, a big hello to you all. I picked up a new 2010 a month ago or so and have found this forum to be full of excellent information. So far my only additions are Cycra Series One hand guards and a home-brew map switch, both of which were researched here first. Future addition will be header wrap. Does anyone else's right ankle get hot?
Now, on to my problem. I have about 4.5 hrs on my new Berg. Just completed the 3hr service two weekends ago. Since it was new I've noticed erratic power delivery at low engine loads. Almost like it's running out of fuel. When I hit the throttle there is no hesitation and it pulls like it should (or at least I believe like it should, my last dirt bike was a CRF450R and the 570 is comparable). The erratic behaviour can be felt and heard. I've nearly convinced myself it must be a map issue. I've tried my map switch in all three positions and the resistance appears to have no affect on the problem. If it were a restricted fuel issue then why would it run so well when gassed? My tank does not appear to have any 'white residue' after a cursory inspection.
Any other ideas or personal experience would be appreciated before I start disassembling, cleaning and inspecting. I haven't had to rely on a dealer or professional mechanic for as long as I can remember and I'd rather not start with a new (just out of warranty) bike.
Thanks,
Brian
