I'm in the process of rebuilding a 2010 FE570 and need to replace the conrod. The part no. for the 2010 complete crankshaft is 81730018400 and these run at $1000, the part no. for the 2009 is 81730018300 and I can pick one of these up for $600. does anybody know what the differences are and will the 2009 crankshaft fit the 2010 bike ???

the parts book will tell you the year a new part starts OK?

it's the last bit that tells you if a part has been upgraded superceding the original part number. it will definetely fit - for sure BUT, why was it superceded should be your question?
I expect to have a 2010 engine soon here. I'm not sure what I'll find but I might be breaking it.

Im curious what all changed on the 10 motor also. I recently ordered a water pump gasket and saw that the 10 had a different part number, but what changed?
