Hi everyone good to be here.

Got my self a bit of a run down 2003 fe501 had engine replace for a fully rebuilt and converted 650. Will add some pics when I find out how to lol

Can anyone help.

I have fitted a new digital speedo (trail 11 ) new beringer brakes alone with Excel rims. When I reach 70 mph the speedo starts to go backwards and fluctuates any ideas

You are travelling back in time.

Seriously though, make sure your disc sensor and pickup are securely mounted and you have some rubber under the pickup to absorb vibration. Double check that all your wires are fully insulated, secure and fully hooked up.

If that doesn't do it, you may have problems with your trailtech. I highly doubt it though. Perhaps also check the battery in your Trail11. That's all I got.

Another issue has arisen. Bike cut out while out on the road. No issue with fuel still got electrics. I pulled the plug and found I don't have a spark would it be the coil?

Probably the stator.

Test values should be:

1999 to 2003: Black & Red 3000 Ohms
Black & Green 165 Ohms

I have just reviewed the rebuild sheet done by taffmister 2013 which states that the stator was replaced and only 5 hrs riding time completed
