I've just bought my first Husaberg a 2004 fe501e and I have spent the last few hours looking at the shiny new thing in my garage. Before I emerse it in mud a couple of newbie style questions. On the Right side of the motor wires enter the top of the outer engine case through a black rubber grommet - now this doesn't look 100% waterproof SO can I seal it with silicon? or does the motor need some ability to vent via this case? Next is the electrical connector above the battery where the ends of the connectors are not well protected from water/mud - I was going to seal it with silicon - but any other suggestions? If you cant envisage what I am talking abut then scroll to the bottom of http://www.speed-trap.co.uk/husaberg.htm and finaly it will need an engine skid plate/protector and ask who sells the best ones? Thanks for any assistance. Paul.

Give Alex a ring at Dave Clarke Racing on 017726127118, tell him Rob from Cottingham said you would look after him. Don`t worry about the wires they will be fine. Friend of mine (gruntunberg) has one of these bikes. GREAT CHOICE!!
